More from that Rand Paul interview I linked to upthread.....certainly sounds like Paul is not eager to challenge Trump himself in 2020:

I'm really digging this new Rand Paul. A stunning return to form after the 2016 debacle.

Well obviously challenging an incumbent Republican President to a dual would not only be bad for his Presidential ambitions, but additionally open him up to political vulnerabilities in Kentucky should he choose to run for reelection in a State where Democrats can frequently win statewide elections....

Something tells me Rand is hedging his bets to avoid being "tea-bagged" from the Right in a Senate reelection Primary, and recognizing that his brand of Conservatism might be more popular out West and in Texas, than among Republican voters in the Southern and Appalachian regions of the Country...

Playing a pretty conservative "Hole Card" and will selectively buck the Pres, follow the Fav/Unfav numbers nationally and in KY, and see what the scene is at in another year or so, while meanwhile racking up $$$ for his future Senate reelection campaign....

This week’s #2020Vision column:

The column mentions McAuliffe’s 2020 comments on the Axe Files podcast:

The Concord Monitor talks about the potential 2020 candidates visiting NH this weekend:

http://www.concordmonitor.com/Three-top-Democrats-to-campaign-in-NH-to-help-Joyce-Craig-13521157

Tim Ryan says that he’s not going to decide on whether to run for president until after the midterms.  Meanwhile, Moulton gives a denial….though it’s in the present tense:

Matthews was right about Delaney and Elijah Cummings' wife running for Governor of Maryland.

Julian Castro making moves...
https://mic.com/articles/185843/report-former-hud-secretary-julian-castro-says-he-might-run-for-president-in-2020
"I might"-seems like he might run in 2020. I don't know if he has much of a shot though a Castro vs Trump election would be fun to watch.

That story also indicates that Castro said he'd decide on whether to run for prez by the end of 2018.

Does this mean Sanders isn't running, or does Warren think she can beat Sanders in a primary? Personally I think the latter, but the former is quite possible too.

There is no secret info being shared among the potential candidates as to who is going to run and who isn't.  I doubt Warren knows much more than we do about whether Sanders is going to run.

Garcetti and Landrieu talked to Mike Allen at the US Conference of Mayors on Friday.  While not giving a direct quote, Allen says this:

I've previously mentioned that Steyer is running an ad campaign that advocates for the impeachment of Trump.  Looks like this campaign is paying special attention to Iowa and New Hampshire:

I already mentioned this Booker story in another thread, but here’s the 2020 mention, where Booker says it would be “irresponsible” for him to talk about whether he’s going to run for president in 2020 at this point in time:
