Joe Kennedy asked if he'll run for president, and he gives a non-answer:

It's weird that no one says "No" to being asked if they're running anymore.

Kaine said no very early in the 2020 speculation cycle, and he hasn't done anything to walk it back:

Garcetti's not being very subtle about his intentions:

Newsom reiterates that he's not running for prez (and even looks directly at the camera to say no):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0mvEzs3NNfY

For that matter, he says that Jerry Brown had problems in his initial terms as governor because he had an eye on running for president.  Not exactly the words of a guy who's planning to make a presidential run right after being elected governor.

You can rarely trust a prominent politician who says they're not running for President, but this is a more firm denial than most would give. probably fair to count him out.

It is just not really practical for him if he ran he'd only be a few months in office spending half of his time out of state.

I could see him trying to primary Trump and then running as an Independent in the general election after he inevitably loses the primary. I don't think he'd do very well though, in the primary or in the general.

This is perhaps just a slight rephrasing of his earlier comment on this, but Julian Castro says that he'll "decide by the end of the year" on whether to run for president:

EDIT: That story also says what I already figured to be the case, which is that the book that Castro is currently writing is intended to be released some time in 2018.

All the public appearances the past week seemed to be Rand reintroducing himself after the Shooting and the Lawn Mower incident.  If not 2020 then 2024.

I'm curious about if it will change anything in the state polling

Julian Castro really wants you to know that he's interested in the presidency with his "I have every interest in running" comment:

A newly released Wall Street Journal Magazine interview with Oprah Winfrey has her again denying interest in a presidential run, though like the InStyle interview, it was actually conducted *before* her Golden Globes speech.  It's behind a paywall, but The Daily Mail of all places reprints the relevant section:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5358803/Oprah-rules-presidential-bid-new-interview.html
