It's not like LA has a dire homeless problem or any other problems that need lots of attention.

This is a bit off-topic, but have 2020 election polls stopped until after the midterms? I haven't seen one recently, not that it matters this early.

I don't know for sure but I imagine the pollsters are focusing on '18.

That's for the best. 2020 polls are absolutely worthless this early on.

Now, as you can see on the Wikipedia page, they only kept the lists of individuals who have publicly expressed interest in running for President in 2020. The crowds for each party seem to be tightening.

City Journal, despite being conservative, published a flattering piece on Amy Klobuchar: https://www.city-journal.org/senator-amy-klobuchar-16189.html

Horse race polling this early isn't very useful.  That said, I'd be interested in them doing polling of the favorability of the various candidates, to test how widespread name recognition is, at this early stage.

Wikipedia's list is pretty useless, because they rule out anyone who "denies" interest in running even when the "denial" is literally not a denial, like "I have no plans to run."

Hickenlooper is pondering whether there’s a “lane” for someone like him, as he considers a presidential run:

Warren needs to be one of the first candidates in to squash any Sanders candidacy.

And with Warren’s Comms Director now working for the New Hampshire Democratic Party it seems obvious.
