The other thread has reached 2000 replies, so I'm locking it.  Here's the new thread for candidate news.  Mods, please sticky.

I guess I should also offer a link to the old thread, in case you want to revisit it:

IIRC, Klobuchar's one of the only likely 2020 Dem. presidential candidates in the Senate who isn't co-sponsoring the "Medicare for all" bill.  So it'll be interesting to see what she has to say on single payer.

We need to make this a sticky and make the mods pay for it

I PMed TJ asking him to do that, but he hasn't responded.

Sunday morning talk show watch: For the first time in a while, it looks like none of the likely 2020 Dems will be on any of the Sunday morning shows tomorrow, though Rand Paul (who I suppose might conceivably run again in 2020) will be on Meet the Press:

John Podhoretz suggests Oprah Winfrey as the Dems' best 2020 chance for prez, and her Twitter response is not exactly a denial of interest:

Here's this week's #2020Vision column:

http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/29/politics/2020-vision-bidens-oprah-ben-sasse/

As usual, much of it covers ground we've already talked about here.  But here are two things from the column that I don't think we've mentioned...

Kander will be in the early caucus state of Nevada tomorrow:

https://www.facebook.com/events/1620832121310458/

And Seth Moulton (on his way to Iowa) responds to a question about 2020:

Earlier this week, Cuomo headed to the early caucus state of Nevada to speak before a gathering of the Transport Workers Union:

https://www.usnews.com/news/best-states/new-york/articles/2017-09-26/ny-gov-cuomo-to-speak-at-las-vegas-labor-convention

Meanwhile, Howard Schultz is asked about a presidential run, and responds “never say never”:

This Sunday, Kasich will be on "State of the Union", while Sanders will be on both "State of the Union" and "This Week":

On Twitter I found this pic of Tim Ryan and Seth Moulton from today's Iowa Steak Fry:

Garcetti is spending an awfully large portion of his time traveling out of state (including a trip to early caucus state Nevada next month):

Jason Zengerle at the NYT has a new rundown of the 2020 Dem. field:

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/09/30/opinion/who-can-beat-trump-in-2020.html

O'Malley has got to be upset that he didn't even get a mention.  How many more Iowa and New Hampshire visits does he have to do before the MSM notices his existence?  Tongue

Most surreal sentence from the piece is the one in which Zengerle calls Amy Klobuchar "a sort of thinking man’s Sarah Palin".

Was it because Klobuchar said she could see Canada from her porch? Smiley

She's repeatedly said the same about Iowa:

http://articles.latimes.com/2012/sep/07/nation/la-na-early-states-courtship-20120907

Not sure how it's possible to see both Iowa and Canada at the same time.  Her glasses must give her incredible vision.  Tongue
