I am a center-right conservative libertarian independent. I'm a Gary Johnson 2016-Dianne Feinstein 2018 voter. Would Antifa go so far as to call a "fascist," even though I'm not (I'm not even a Trumpist, I'm to the left of the GOP)?

      This is a big part of the reason that the love affair with Antifa that spread across the American left in the wake of Charlottesville has been irksome to me and several very liberal friends of mine; they are distinctly far-left and not something that anyone who isn't far-left should be tolerating. We've had to deal with their ilk for years in the Bay Area, so we're not under any illusions as to what their real nature is, such as believing that they simply stand for general opposition to fascism.

     I do see SJoyce's comment that Antifa Boston is fake, but I will note that Poe's Law applies; real Antifa are pretty much like that.

Oh I didn't even notice that. The comment did strike me as something they would say, though. I'm not intimately familiar with them but I've seen enough to conclude that I'd rather see them broken up and shut down than to even consider supporting or indirectly condoning them.

The people who run Antifa Boston are a couple in Eugene, Oregon. Generally @AntifaChecker on twitter is a reliable way to tell if you're dealing with a real or a fake antifa account. Most of them are pretty easy to spot because of the bios or locations (Antifa Mar-A-Lago, Antifa Beverly Hills, Nantucket Antifa, etc). The Boston one isn't like that, but it does retweet and interact with the other parody antifa accounts so it's pretty clear it's parody.

Yeah, I hoped the fact that I literally put "parody account" next to its name in my post would make it obvious to people that, like that account, I wasn't serious. That didn't turn out so well
