ANNOUNCEMENT SPEECH
- John M. Roll Courthouse, Yuma, AZ

Thank you. Thank you all.
Welcome, friends and fellow citizens. It's a great pleasure and honor to be here, standing in front of this esteemed office of the law, with the opportunity to speak to you all.
As I'm sure you are all aware, a vacancy has arisen in our great House of Commons. I won't belabor the issue, since I'm equally certain you would all like to move past the matter, but I will say this: the law has spoken, and our great Region of Fremont has been cleansed of a terrible, hateful stain on its electoral history. In the matter of our former representative, frontier justice has been served, and we of the stalwart Atlasian West have made clear that infighting, intolerance, and incompetence will not be tolerated here.
  [APPLAUSE]
We deserve better. Not just here in Fremont, but across Atlasia. Too often are we forced to chose our leaders from the ranks of those who would choose petty bickering over serious governance; division over acceptance; calamity over compromise.
In this age of international turmoil, we deserve better.
In an era where we must fight to save our planet, we deserve better.
In great nation, and a great region, with such potential to reach such greater heights, we deserve better.
And that, my friends, is why I'm here. Give me your votes and I will give you better.
Today, I declare my candidacy for the House of Commons.

Greetings, friends and voters.

In just about an hour and a half, the race - as they say - is on. I haven't exactly had much time to campaign and I can only hope for the best, but I figure that's no reason not to address pressing points of call.

First, let me take a brief opportunity to thank you all for your endorsements - particularly that of the esteemed Speaker Kamala, whose encouragement was a major part of why I became active here in the first place.

Second, as of now my office is formally open to constituent questions. So, in these final days of the special election cycle, feel free to ask me your questions and but me your buts. All input is welcomed.

Lastly, expect an announcement pertaining to my official platform soon.

Good fortune to you all,
- Saguaro

VICTORY SPEECH
- Tempe, Arizona

Thank you! Thank you, Arizona, and thank you, Fremont!
What a race. What a victory. We fought the good fight, and thanks to you - to the voices of the citizens of great Fremont - we came out on top. To all of you, I give my sincerest thanks. To Pryor and Simfan, I give my sincerest congratulations on a campaign well-run.
Today, we begin a new day. Today, we move past the hatred, the spite, and the incompetence of my predecessor, and go forward into the future with hope in our hearts and compassion for our fellow Atlasians.
When I take my seat in the Commons, I will serve, in all my capacity, as Fremont's voice. Your voice. I will champion for education, equality, and prosperity in our great Region, and I will do so while working with and understanding those across party lines, rather than spitting in their faces.
Tonight, I make each and every one of you a solemn pledge: I will not let you down. I will not toy with the faith you've placed in me. And I will not stray from our creed, the cry which has carried us from Billings, to Seattle, to San Diego, to Tucson.
[CROWD ECHOES]
We deserve better.
And starting today, we will have it.
Thank you.

Beyond belated, but consider this thread bumped for election weekend. Ask me anything, pardners.
