I'm holding out hope that we will see a disappointing showing for the far right, just like we saw in France and the Netherlands. And I'd not mind an FDP surge in addition But the most important thing for me is that the AfD don't get anywhere close to a good result.

Disappointed by the strong AfD showing, but it's not THAT strong, the Israeli media is exaggarenting it as "a massive successs for the far right". As always. Now I'm just hoping the Greens really did outperform Linke!

It seems CDU is increasing slightly in the new projection while AFD is slightly decreasing. Hope this trend continues.

This headline does not make sense to me. Anyone looking at state election results since 2015 could see that something like this was coming. So if there should be any alarm that should have been back in 2015.  The AfD result seems quite in line with the AfD state election results last couple of years.  Ditto various protests now by various Leftist groups over AfD results.  They should have seen this coming for last couple of years.

Israeli media is... well, dumb when it comes to international elections. They're trumpeting this election as if the AfD just won 20% of the vote, they always do it whenever the far right slightly overperforms anywhere.
