Not sure if it counts as conservative political correctness, but their incessant whining about how Christians are being persecuted now that married gay people have the same rights as married straight people is pretty pathetic. You not being able to persecute people doesn't mean that you're being persecuted, nor are your "religious freedoms" being eroded. You all are NOT the victims just because you're losing your political clout to bully people into agreeing with your flawed and narrow-minded interpretations of your Bible. Stop trying to Kim Davis yourselves into martyrs just because more and more people are turning away from the church (and it's not because of the big bad evil secular liberal government, it's mostly because of hypocritical self-righteous holier than thou people like you. Glass houses and stones.)

Their faux disguise as the true champions for free speech goes in there somewhere. They got all bent out of shape and cried "government persecution of free speech!" when A&E was about to pull the plug on Duck Dynasty after that redneck made all those anti-gay comments, but they were perfectly okay when country music radio stations and outlets turned the Dixie Chicks into pariahs after they spoke out against Dubya and the war. They also got all riled up after Carrie Underwood came out in support of marriage equality. You all are no more the champions of free speech than liberals are.

I never see social conservatives try to silence social liberals.  Conservatives have their problems, but on social issues the right is almost always better behaved and respectful.

Yeah, some conservatives calling people who are pro-choice "baby killers" and people who are gay "degenerates" and "godless fags" and black people who protest "animals" or the n-word is a lot more mature and respectful than when some liberals call conservatives a bunch of "inbred cousin-f-ers"

Racism is completely unacceptable and an offense to God.  it has nothing to do with social conservatives.  I'm sorry for derailing the thread, I know this place is an echo chamber on social issues but at least recognize that you are the side that is in power and you are not the victims.  There is no social conservative political correctness because social conservatives don't try to shut down free speech.

Disagreeing with a sexual behavior is not bigotry.  You have to learn to live with people who think differently than you.  Just like I believe abortion is murder, but I let them speak wherever they want.

This is not the thread to discuss this though, and I apologize for derailing it.

They're so triggered by black football players being out of their place by taking a knee that they need a safe space to recover.

As long as my "homosexual" neck is under your boot or attached to a chain dragging behind your pickup truck.  So well behaved and respectful. Roll Eyes   Just shut your complicit, self-satisfied gob.

Social Conservatives show respect to their opponents by letting them speak, even though they believe social liberals are on the wrong side of the right to live.  Conservative political correctness exists, but not on social issues.

Political correctness includes a much wider range of attitudes than just "letting [your opponents] speak". There are strongly negative trends among social liberals these days in terms of reacting poorly to basic criticism, but to claim that social conservatives are not subject to similar negative trends doesn't really hold water.

Excuse me, do you mind if I look through all your texts and e-mails?

Why not? Do you have something to hide?

Getting offended by Family Guy.

Also as seen on AAD CCSF flipping out over "street lingo".

There is probably a term in philosophy or some social science for this, but the use by conservatives  of the term 'politically correct' proves this argument wrong all by itself.  Essentially conservatives took the term 'politically correct' because they thought that those on the left who accused them of being 'racists' were trying to shut down arguments.  The term 'politically correct' is used by conservatives in response to do that exact same thing: if you 'social justice warriors' say something we don't like, we'll call you 'politically correct' and end the discussion.

Debating gun control after a mass shooting.

There are right and a wrong ways to talk about gun control after a mass shooting, but categorically shutting down any discussion of policy after a shooting is 100% political correctness.

Same with shutting down discussion of climate change after a weather disaster, with Florida going so far as to outright ban usage of the term.

The incessant pearl-clutching over literally everything to do with the LGBT+ community, especially when it comes to media visibility and representation. Four words of pure steer-derived manure for the ages: THINK OF THE CHILDREN

This is so much less of a problem than it was in the 90s, happily.

This is used by both the left and the right though.  Michelle Obama's highly praised 2016 convention speech covered a number of topics, but the parts that received the highest praise were 'THINK OF THE CHILDREN.'

Wasn't that about Trump's sexual harassment and mocking a disabled reporter, though? That's different than "gays should disappear."

I don't think so.  I think it was just a general call for nanny state liberalism.
