The participating players are exercising their Constitutional freedoms. Therefore, my answer is obvious.

None. The fact that we're making news of this is ridiculous. Maybe it's a byproduct of me not watching football, but this is something well beyond my ability to take interest in.

Just cause you have a right to do something doenst make that action a good thing . Also a company is 100 percent  allowed to say you are not allowed to protest during work hours .

Neither.

I don't think they're the best, though I admit they've been successful in raising awareness, but the backlash has been ugly (and they should be allowed).

The players have the freedom to protest and the viewers have the freedom to boycott.

I do support criminal justice reform, so I'd probably side with the players more.

Harmless peaceful protests. Will likely have zero effect on the issues Kaep initially looked to address.

Would you say sports has been almost as destructive as Hollywood, the news, and social media?

Don't really care at all. They have the right to do it and if they want to, by all means do it. Also the amount of coverage this is getting is ridiculously unfair to more important issues. Don't really take a side but if this whole controversy results in a weakening of the NFL and money intact due to conservative backlash that's on them, not others.

Horrible protests, but if they function to make Republicans more popular their effects may very well be positive.

If they have a problem, they should go on strike.. Oh wait, protest unless it hurts my wallet, right. Its all publicity and money with these people. They are exploiting police brutality for personal gain, disgraceful. Horrible protest.

This controversy has gotten so far removed from actual content of disagreement that its devolved into a pointless flame war. No one knows what exactly we're angry about, but we sure are angry.

The political losers from this are both Trump and the NFL. Fans don't want this sort of tension and making them choose harms both.

Genuinely don't care. It's free speech. Whether someone stands or kneels doesn't affect me in the slightest.

I'm more concerned about Puerto Rico and the lack of support they're getting. This is just a silly culture war.

Destructive to what?

American society.

Contemporary America has done this to itself. The other institutions you list are simply symptomatic of the problem. The variety of ways we manifest love for sports--lust, consumerism, etc.--are the damaging aspects.

Unless you're African American, your opinion on the matter is irrelevant and you should keep it to yourself. Be in solidarity with them, like I am, or remain quiet; it's not about you and you don't matter.
