I am going to enjoy Democrats ramming Mediocre 4 All up his ass in a couple of years.
You guys know that will never happen. The gop is gaining 2-8 senate seats in 2018.

whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa what??

You know that's not realistic.

First rule of midterms!
Uh there are 10 trump democrat seats. Arizona and Nevada are you’re only pick up options.

AGAIN. First rule of midterms: Beating incumbents of the president's party is slightly easier. Beating incumbents of the opposition is extraordinarily hard.
That’s why I said 2-8 seats.

That upper bound is way too high.

Keep in mind, Democrats made NO GAINS in the 2010 OR 2014 Senate slates. And those included GOP-held seats in Obama states.
You guys are maxed out in class 1 seats.

You would think, but with Trump's approval rating so low we might have a chance.

Think about it.

Heller is screwed.

Arizona is a fairly decent shot, especially if Ward is the GOP nominee.

Texas is still a big long shot, as is Tennessee.

On the Democrat side, we're in opposition. Which means that incumbent popularity matters a lot more because there's no bogeyman to tie you to.

Now:

Manchin is popular in WV
Heitkamp is popular in ND
Tester is popular in MT
Casey is (I think) pretty popular in PA. As is Sherrod Brown in OH.

I don't see Michigan voting Republican again in 2018. Stabenow can do better than Hillary.

That leaves you with: Florida, Indiana, Missouri, and Wisconsin.

Of those, your easiest pickup opportunities are IN and MO, as their incumbents aren't particularly popular and the states are now fairly solid red, and FL because you have Rick Scott.

WI is harder, but not impossible.

Assuming you'll lose Nevada, I'd put your ceiling at +4. Maybe +5 but its a stretch. And there's a chance you may not pick up anything at all, so floor is -2. Maybe -3.

If you go out and murder the richest person who lives in your town, and inspire one person to do the same, you will have done more to make the American economy work for everyone than any Republican in history and honestly most Democrats.

Crimson avatars in a nutshell.

Meanwhile your posts are "Nuhh I wish Democrats could work together with Republicans to only slightly murder poor people"

Hey, you know who actually murdered poor people?

Mao and Stalin.

By the time the economic effects of this bill are felt, the Democrats will have already won the House, and will be promptly blamed for the inevitable financial downturn. It's all in the plan.

People almost always blame their woes on the party that controls the White House, at least in the way they vote, and especially in a case where the White House's party blatantly caused the tax changes.

This tax bill is textbook class war and needs to ignite mass mobilization, not senseless violence.
I am unsure of the seriousness of this sentiment, but it's clearly the wrong direction.

My violence is hypothetical whereas the violence the GOP is committing tonight is very real.

Ah looking forward to when the rich pay 60% in taxes in 2021. This will boomerang right back on them.

That's such a false equivalency it's ridiculous.

Well, when they scrap net neutrality (and they will) Republicans will have two things to point as serious accomplishments.

Yes.

One is getting Democrats energized.

The other is getting rid of this forum.

While I don’t like Jason kander that is a disgusting thing to say about anyone who serves in the arm forces.

I’m going to guess that in you’re view George Washington was evil because he killed people in a war.

The Democratic Party needs to declare war against the Republicans. Absolutely no more meetings, phone calls, or working together of any kind. The GOP does not act in good faith

This but instead of Republicans, just the rich in general.

All elected republicans are irredeemable trash

Uneccesary qualifier.

Well the GOP does a masterful job at stripping their own voters of their benefits and they still win their votes because of black people kneeling and Confederate statues or something lol
Considering the once attempt the GOP has made to try and reform social security ended in disaster, they really don't at the end of the day.

.

Nothing will change until the leadership of the Dems is purged. Chuck and Nancy couldn't win if they tried and I think they'd rather lose than let the "Bernouts" get control of the party. Especially Pelosi, who's been getting rolled by the Republicans since the Bush days.

The Democrats are hapless and helpless
