I too appreciated how Joe Manchin took the floor to say "I'm a stupid asshole and even I can't vote for this thing"

Josephine Womanchin is a national treasure and I am deeply offended that you insulted her majesty.

Amen!

Oh no, I can already see it forming. Ping-pong between two extreme sides with no middle ground.

Your party "purism" will lead us into a cement wall, not a blue wall. Bernie and Perriello lost, get over it. Blue dogs may not be in charge, but at least the party as a whole is still in decent establishment hands.
I agree I may even endorse manchin.

It’s great salt I should repealed now the voters are forced to elect republicans in blue states.

You really think that will happen?

Hint: It won't. Because the only Republicans who could get elected that way are Baker-types. And the GOP is done with nominating sane people.

Not in those kinds of states.

No, they aren't.

Politician from opposite party in states won by the President tend to do very well in the mid-terms.

AGAIN. First rule of midterms: Beating incumbents of the president's party is slightly easier. Beating incumbents of the opposition is extraordinarily hard.

IKR, especially the young privileged ones from big cities who magically know what's best for them, and who look down upon them and refuse to listen to the other side.

Can't be worse than this current horsesh!t, especially in our current position.

Also we might want to try it, cuz right now, this is like cauliflower level toxic stuff for congressmen these days.

That upper bound is way too high.

Keep in mind, Democrats made NO GAINS in the 2010 OR 2014 Senate slates. And those included GOP-held seats in Obama states.

[Nope!] I am assuming that this post was not meant literally, but whether it was or not, it is way out of line. I expect to not see a repeat of this sort of thing. Thank you. Torie.

If you go out and murder the richest person who lives in your town, and inspire one person to do the same, you will have done more to make the American economy work for everyone than any Republican in history and honestly most Democrats.
