I would hate to see the Cubs and their deplorable fans celebrate on our turf tonight.

I'm rooting that much harder for the Cubs now. Eff the Walgreens Nationals.

Remember what they did to Steve Bartman? NOT NICE!

They had their moment of glory last year anyway. It’s our turn.

I'd be dishonest if I didn't admit Chris Cillizza's last minute stupidity about all things including baseball didn't nearly turn me against the Nats, but God ought to punish me if I were to cheer for the Cubs. I'm not morally bankrupt.

Right. Like it was her turn.

Anyway, Go Cubbies.

Hope the Cubs go winless and humiliate themselves, otherwise I don't care.

This is truly the darkest timeline. Hoping for Dodgers/Indians World Series.

Was hoping the Sox and Cubbies would pull through at first, now I'm just hoping the Yanks lose.

I would rather get kicked in the nuts 100 times than watch the Yankees win the pennant

Go Dodgers

Sorry. Dodgers are my second least favorite team after the Cardinals. I have to get 100% behind the Astros or this new, young, exciting, fun, likable Yankees team.

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/dusty-baker-nationals-manager-article-1.3576943

Dusty Baker was fired as manager of the Nationals, making the Nationals the second postseason team to fire their manager, after the Boston Red Sox sacked John Farrell earlier this month.

After Baker's (and Farrell's) losses in the NLDS (and ALDS) does this seem unhelpful or will it be a kick in the pants next year for the Nationals (and Red Sox)?

John Farrell was at the end of his rope. Making the postseason but stalling in the same round every year is not a good look.

Not surprised the Nats fired Baker. He's a good manager, but see above. He can help another team win.

Glad to see a Yankee-free World Series.

Both would be deserving of being World Series champion, but there can only be one winner. Go Astros!

I'm disappointed that the Tribe didn't even make it past the Yanks in the first round. We had better talent this year than when we won the pennant last year. Fortunately, NYY is not in the WS, so I may watch the WS.

I'm a Yankee fan, so I am disappointed that the Yankees are not in it.

However, I see the Dodgers winning the 2017 World Series in 7.
