Nothing to report.  District is solid D.  Now live in PA-6 which is a little more purple.

Got to admit, Toomey being Senator, much less a two term Senator, was rather unbelievable back in the day.

Speaking of unbelievable, what are your thoughts on Trump becoming the first Republican to win PA since 1988 and doing so while getting murdered in the Philly burbs?

Toomey is a far more skilled politician than I thought.  He did a "moderate pump fake" on gun control and successfully wooed some HRC voters in the Philly suburbs.  The crossover was bad in my township.

My thoughts on PA.  I was surprised to see Trump pull off PA, but not HOW he did it if that makes sense.  I think after Comey there was a "coming home" for Republicans in the Philly suburbs.  I thought my county, Montgomery was going 70-30 HRC, but it went the usual 59-37. The polls prior showed and even worse shellacking here, but the rest of the state were fairly accurate.  Also, turnout for Trump in the "turncoat/forgotten" man areas was also higher than I thought while left infighting and Obama not being on top depressed it in Philly proper.

If Biden were the nominee, PA would have easily been over 10 points D.  She failed to connect with voters outside of Center City and the suburbs plain and simple.  Biden would not have fumbled that badly in the Lackawanna Valley and Northeast Philly (where I grew up).

Hello, Stranger! Smiley

It's nice seeing a familiar face (in an online sort-of-way) after all these years.

I know.  We old now.  Amazing how one poster has PARENTS our age.  I have a toddler and an infant.  Couldn't imagine raising a 17 year old now.
