Can you elaborate? I'm curious on what you mean, even if I do agree that blaming Trump on Gamergate is a bit of a stretch. (Gamergate seems to merely be a spark that lit on fire preexisting trends.)

The article is pretty much what I expected, they want to "ease people into it" as Milo said. His fascination with Nazi sloganeering is legit creepy though. No public figures on the far left are obsessed with Stalin or Pol Pot (except Noam Chomsky in the 70's, who I don't like either)

That was essentially just following them around with a camera, with the intent of showing how bad they were. Not wanting to quote Neo-Nazis and the editor of American Renaissance in a puff piece about how wonderful the Alt-Right is. Milo is a cheerleader for the alt-right, if he considers you part of it he must like you. He even said they would like what he wrote and specifically complimented a piece by a guy who was pro segregation. Add to that that he was apparently seeing Richard Spencer socially and the Breitbart was employing people they knew were white supremacists in editorial roles and just "monitored" them to try and make sure they didn't say anything about it publicly. Lamest attempt at whataboutism I've seen for a while.

Pat Buchanan, influenced by William Lind, expressed "Trumpist" views when he ran for President in 1992 and 1996. His voters show that there has always been a "Trumpist" wing of the Republican Party. Gamergate is just the idea that feminists are too eager to accuse men of rape and to accuse the media of sexism, and was probably just a reaction to the Title IX rape rules. Lind, Buchanan, and Trump never expressed any Gamergate views. The Iraq War, The irrational hysteria about Obama stoked by people like Sarah Palin, the GOP's failure to denounce birtherism when Trump started pushing it, the decline of the rust belt, the TPP, and the Gang of Eight caused Trump.

Hitler kinda ignored the blacks (how many black people were there in Nazi Germany? 4?) so that probably is his excuse (blacks still were considered inferior by the Nazi's but they never were subject to the same mass extermination as Jews).
