San Diego. It's really no contest at all. About room temperature and sunny for most of the year.

My personal preference is for a 4 season climate that's on the more humid side without having too extreme summers or winters, so I chose Boston.

01. Boston
02. Chicago
03. Denver
04. Seattle
05. San Diego
06. Washington
07. Anchorage
08. Honolulu
09. Phoenix
10. New Orleans

I like there to at least be colder and warmer months with some snow in there too. So Boston.

Hating entire states is for dumb people.

Anywho, San Diego has perfect weather.

San Diego, followed by Denver, Phoenix and D.C. I like warmth and hate cold. I also don't drink, so I'm a generally weird Russian.

Anchorage

Keep things chill and dry and Seattle's a little too humid.

San Francisco is the ultimate best, but those two are the closest, and a little snow is always welcome.

I picked San Diego, California -- but I would select Monterrey, California as the absolute best. San Diego is a bit dry, and the temperatures are on the monotonous side.

For Hell? Winters of Barrow, Alaska and summers of Houston, Texas.

OK- a few requirements:

-No extreme or prolonged cold (I want to be in shorts by the end of February)
-No snow that lingers for more than a day or two after a storm
-No several month periods of no sun

That eliminates Boston, Chicago, Anchorage, Denver, Seattle, and possibly Washington.  Then, Phoenix summers are too hot and New Orleans is too humid and rainy.  That leaves San Diego and Honolulu.  Neither is perfect at all.  San Diego's flaw is that summer evenings should be warm- there should not be  any chill in the air even in the middle of the night over the summer.  Honolulu's is just a little too hot.

Unfortunately, nowhere in the world has the truly perfect climate.  The closest to it might be portions of Spain and Italy.  Honestly, Texas isn't far off either, but it is just a touch too hot in the summer.  Maybe on the Baja Peninsula in Mexico where it stays a little warmer at night due to the warmer waters (that's another problem with the West Coast- that the water is usually too cold for swimming).

My ideal day is 85 in the afternoon, a morning low of 65 (that means 70s in the evening) with low humidity and lots of sunshine.

Edited to add: The weirdest weather I have ever seen is Lima, Peru.  Its summers are allegedly nice, but in the winter (when I was there), it is a completely steady 60 degrees, day and night, with perpetually cloudy skies that never produce any rain other than a fine mist every few mornings that doesn't result in any measurable precipitation.

Basically, you'd like the greater Los Angeles area (Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, and Santa Barbara County).

Los Angeles

Summers average 84/64 and winters average 68/48 with 15" of rain, 0" of snow, and 73% sunshine.
