What if Jerry Brown was nominated in 1992 instead of Clinton?

I see Bush winning a close race. Jerry Brown was a very eccentric figure in those days, plus I think Perot would've taken more votes from him than he did Clinton.

I couldn't disagree more. I think Brown's anti-establishment shtick would won him a lot of Perot voters.

He could win Perot Voters, but some of the moderate voters that backed Clinton could go Perot or even vote for Bush.

Would Perot still run since Brown takes a lot of his positions and anti-establishment message?

Perot was able to use economic nationalism and deficit reduction as wedge issues to carve out a portion of the electorate but Brown (at least in 1992) was both anti-NAFTA and a deficit hawk in his own right. Perot drops out after Brown wins the nomination - and stays out.
