I really don't want to jump to conclusions here, but I too am rather puzzled as to why a blue avatar would prefer a candidate who (a) was a liberal, but (b) liked the Klan.
McAdoo employed blacks when he was Secretary of the Treasury. The Klan supported him because he supported prohibition.
