Is there are any other President who would have gotten into this kind of public name-calling with a Senator of his own party?  I can't think of anyone recent.  Andrew Jackson and Andrew Johnson may have had the temperament for it, but I don't know if they had that kind of disdain for any Senators of their own party.

...Why would Corker want Trump's endorsement that badly, anyway?  He probably would've withstood a primary challenge like Alexander did - fairly easily, and Alabama showed that even a Trump endorsement only gets you so far.  I don't buy this story at all.
