Man, I love how Congressional Republican hacks are turning into heroes of the left/liberals just "because Trump" Roll Eyes

Can't wait for a break between Trump and Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell or Jeff Sessions, and their subsequent canonization here.

I love how socialist hacks love to create straw man arguments.

Must ... hate ... all Republicans.

Anyway, Corker is a FF, and Trump is a loser.

Corker would have needed Deplorable-in-Chief's help to win ruby red Tennessee? Sure.

He was talking about the primary.

All Presidents go off like that routinely. They just didn't use the Twatter to do it. He needs to stop tweeting

Sorry, can you point out which Democrat in this thread is trying to canonize Bob fűcking Corker? Because I don't see any.

Perhaps it's that Trumpers have been reduced to the point where they are incapable of grasping any degree of nuance whatsoever. Much like how they appear compelled to defend and support every single action of their cult leader, no matter now stupid. They just can't grasp "I like what he said even though I dislike his politics" or "I voted for her, because I thought she was better than Trump, even though I would have disagreed with many of her decision". In their world, either you must either hate someone with every fiber of your being or you must worship the very dirt on the soles of their shoes.

Proof?

And yeah, not publicly treating Senators like dogsh-t is common sense, which Trump has demonstrated time and time again that he has none of

- LBJ had more legislative savvy in his little finger than ten Trumps
- LBJ did not issue regular press releases (which I guess are the closest thing the 60's had to Twitter) saying that Senators of his own party were sad, low-energy losers or fake war heroes

The LBJ tapes played during the Vietnam war series were hilarious. But they were no made public during his time.

I can't even imagine Nixon and Truman's potty mouths. Lol.

It's not like Corker's comments actually help. The more you suggest Trump is in the pockets of advisors, the more resistant to those advisors he gets. Someone should suggest he's in the pocket of Stephen Miller or something.

I'm not sure why people are so upset about Kalwejt's comment? It's not really applicable here (I haven't seen any liberals in this thread partake in that nonsense) but the canonization of right-wing CEOs/Reagan-era CIA murders/etc. by #TheResistance just because they gave anti-Trump lip service is a pretty common phenomenon.

This is where living solely in the world of Twitter activism distorts your worldview. Most big bad liberals don't know or care who Louise Mensch or Claude Taylor is.

Not gonna claim to love Corker or become a fanboy, but that was definitely a good response. It is possible to praise Republicans who do call out Trump (when they do so) without implying that everything else they do is great.

They help in that it's one more brick in building a consensus that reflects reality: Trump is grossly unfit for the office of President.

And once we all agree on that, we can then proceed with legally removing one of the greatest dangers our nation has ever faced.

This is the big problem with Trump calling senators out. He is ****ing incompetent and is dead weight when it comes helping Republicans in Congress pass their legislative agenda.

Trump is that guy at the office, who is useless, but is the first person to bitch about the problems about a project.

Wake me up when the 25th Amendment or impeachment begins to be seriously discussed on a bipartisan basis of basic humanity and common sense, where it has nothing to do with being a Republican or Democrat.

Until then, Corker's comments are harmful.

Oh yeah, Corker would absolutely want Trump’s help. We saw how much that helped Luther Strange...

Who ever thought Bob Corker of all people would tweet something and get over 300,000 likes?

I'm so glad to see some Pubs not putting-up with trump's bs.
Throw the mud right back in his face.
Much of what trump tweeted here is now being contradicted (in dispute), yet Corker's response-tweet ends up being a perfect, hard kick to trump's nuts.

Well considering how that worked out for Luther Strange, I see why Sen. Corker declined the President's offer.
