Kelly's arrival at the White House brought of degree of discipline to the most chaotic White House in living memory. But Trump has been moving back towards his reality tv roots in recent weeks. Vague threats, picking fights on twitter, and the like are the very sort of behavior that it would be hoped Kelly would quash. The idea that Trump is an infantile imbecile managed by Kelly (among others) also seems to have been gaining traction. Most recently, Kelly was reportedly kicked off Air Force One. How long can Kelly and Trump's egregious egomania continue to coexist? Is Kelly on his way out?

Back in August, when he was first appointed CoS, I think I predicted that he would be out by the start of winter. I stand by that.

If trump continues to act like a Clown (which is inevitable), probably before Jan 1st.

At least until 2018. If he goes, though, I'd predict Scott Brown, John Huntsman, Rex Tillerson, Nikki Haley, or Kirstjen Nielsen would replace him.

Early 2018 (January or February). I wouldn't be surprised if Trump went through 8 different Chiefs of Staff, I doubt anyone can work so closely with Trump for more than a couple of months.

Voted some time in 2018.

Keep in mind this is one of the toughest jobs in Washington, with an extremely high burnout rate, even when operating under mentally stable POTUS. I do believe than Gen. Kelly considers it a service to country to be in this role, and perhaps an obligation to try and keep the west wing as stable as possible.
I anticipate POTUS behavior will get much worse in the months leading up to midterms. His news consumption will probably increase, as will the personal attacks on him (R+D), which he (of course MUST) respond to. Midterm season is an extremely political period, no Gen. Kellys background or forte, so I would guess he resigns prior to the final campaign stretch, or tries to leave as soon as its over.  Reasonable chance he is forced out over some petty thing prior to 2018 (think Sec. Rex right now).

Whatever happens, when Kelly DOES leave, the entire country should recognize he has served FAR more than his fare share, and been forced to deal with much more bull**** than average.

Early 2018 seems like a solid bet. I mean, the man knew what he was getting into, so he'll probably stick it out a bit longer.

Sometime in 2018, I guess. May happen sooner if Trump does something horrendous like firing Mueller or so.

I expect he'll make it through the year, at least. So far, he seems like he's doing better than Priebus ever did and Priebus lasted six months. I doubt he serves into 2019, though.
