For you to win it just run up the margins in the southern part of the state, and do reasonably well in the northern part.

I actually think you would do fairly well in NoVa, but you would have to flip Loudoun County.  You would do worse in rural Virginia, but you just couldn't let it get to bad.  Lastly, you would have to win the Richmond suburbs comfortably.

Also win Kanawha County overwhelmingly (55-60%) and try not to get crushed in the rest of the state (At least stick to Gore levels in the North). Meanwhile run against a Jeb! Bush type candidate or a Libertarian who isn't socially conservative and try to portray that person as a elitist.
