He's an extremely capable businessman with impeccable moral character and a long record of success. He should have been elected president. Massive FF.

Before his March speech, I thought of him as being a great man who should run again.  After that speech, I was very upset with him.  Now, it's returning to thinking that he is a good man.  He would be a good voice in the Senate.

Have you ever read up on any of the things Mitt Romney has done for people in his life? From building a playground in honor of a 12 year old child that died of cystic fibrosis (and helping personally maintain the grounds), to paying the college tuition of a girl whose father, a Bain Capital employee, had died, to helping a dying 14 year old boy write his last wishes to his parents, Romney is truly a remarkable human being. His political/business record are impressive enough, but on top of that, he truly cares about people.

I never knew those two stories, honestly.

There are even more examples in this article: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/331580/decency-mitt-deroy-murdock

It's shameful that the Obama campaign railed against Romney as some kind of heartless robot who only cared about profits over people. Nothing could be have been further from the truth.

I would have voted for Obama over Romney if I was old enough to vote (I was 17 and 11 months old), but Romney was ok as Governor of Massechusettes and handled the 2002 Winter Olympics well, so FF.

Accidentally voted HP.

In reality, such a FF that he's too good to lead this country.  Mitt Romney is the hero we needed, but not the hero we deserved.  He's our Dark Knight.

I suppose a FF. His positions in 2012 on abortion and gay marriage I disliked, however.

He's more conservative than me, but still a FF and would have been a great president.

Mitt Romney is a man of integrity and one of the great leaders in modern history, if not the greatest. He would make an amazing president - our country would be much better off had he won in 2012. Sad

HP as a politician, and I'm glad he didn't win. Harry Reid was 100% correct on his assessment.

But as a person, what I can remember of him personally was not actually all that bad. Great sense of humor, decent oration...but still a little stiff.

Orson's a much more affable guy.

You're not going to top the ultimate opinion of Mitt Romney thread:

Seriously though, I retroactively wish he'd been elected in 2012, since it would mean that Trump wouldn't be president right now.

Yuge FF, he would have been a great president. And he's actually a good person (if you look at all the things he has done for his community) which has to count for something.

As bad as our current president is, I always have to remind myself that someone even worse could have won in 2012.

Wouldn't expect a Democrat to like a GOP nominee!

Anyway, Mitt Romney is an absolute FF.
