I didn't say "Russia is the same as the Soviet Union." Regardless, they are still a nation most western nations need to be concerned about. We have allies in Eastern Europe. Russia has definitely meddled in our last election, and this is something we need to be worried about.
I didn't say "Chaos in the US," but more like "Chaos in the White House."
Nor did I say that they would "re-establish their presence on the world stage," but they sure as hell but the brakes on our "presence" and global leadership, as perceived by other world leaders.

I disagree. He has always been bonkers, and has never been in control of himself.

It's just that he was never in the public eye this much. He never had this many limits on his ability to lash out, never had so much fact-checking of his endless lies. All that's happening is his personal delusion, where he's the smartest, handsomest, fittest, most capable man on the planet is cracking.

Unfortunately, a President Pence would be awful for other reasons. As would a President Paul Ryan. I suppose a President Orrin Hatch wouldn't be able to do too much damage, but you'd have to impeach or remove three people before you get to him.

But honestly, it's kind of amazing how quickly Trump's presidency is unraveling. We're not even to the end of 2017!

What I don't get is Bannon on the 25th Amendment. It's easier to remove Trump with impeachment-as you need a majority of the House and 2/3 of the Senate. With the 25th Amendment you need a majority of the cabinet, 2/3 of the House and 2/3 of the Senate.

As far as can be discerned right now, these are just rumors. There’ve been a lot of rumors from “sources” that’ve turned up failing the test of reality. Although I strongly dislike Trump’s boorish and uncivilized behavior, along with his actions on the international stage, at least he has proven more incompetent and harmful to the GOP agenda than a President Pence would be. So, I’m torn whether I’d even want Trump to be removed from office at this time.

I'm not torn. Mike Pence would be AWFUL, but he would not pose an immediate threat to the survival of western civilization. Mike Pence is a survivable event.
