An interesting man, for sure.  Seems like a pretty smart guy.  However, his politics are horrible, and the effect he is trying to have on American political discourse is terrible.  HP.

I think the liberals around here like him more every time he disagrees with Trump on something or says something that puts Trump in a worse light.

Mixed character. Although I do agree with him on trade, nationalism in both party's focused on economics, and the need for populism in both party's in order to win elections, along with a non interventionist foreign policy he does say some out there things like wanting to ban all immigrants for a short time and it was in regards to the Silicon Valley Asian Tech Area and I think it was on his radio podcast and this along with others. I do think he is better then most on the right and is certainly better then say a Lindsey Graham and a Paul Ryan, though that isn't saying much. Though he does seem intelligence and seems to have a good moral character I have to put him as a mild HP.

He basically filled the "Prince of Darkness" role Dick Cheney had in the Bush 43 administration. Fortunately, Bannon was gone much sooner.

Can you define this, besides a sick and deranged blind loyalty to whatever the man does?

Not a fan. I support conservatives replacing moderates in the senate, but he seems to want fiery rhetoric for the sake of disruption as opposed to progress. His support of Prince over Barasso just makes no sense.

Then it makes sense why you wouldn't be a fan of Bannon.

This sums up about how I feel about him. If it weren't for the lip service he pays to anti-Semites and the fact that Breitbart is such a sh1tshow, I'd be inclined to have a better opinion of him.

It's really just a more socially liberal/libertarian brand of paleoconsevative with a more pragmatic streak.

Erik Prince?

Bannon wants the head of a mercenary group to be a Senator, with a high ranking Cabinet member as his sister?

Kinda like what Jake said above: I agree with him on some issues (trade and non-interventionism), but I believe he goes a little too far with protectionism (from what I understand).  I am also not a fan of his avid anti-illegal immigration policy.  I also don't like how he's pushing for primary challenges.

The fact of the matter as I see it is this:
- That immigrants, regardless of whether they are here illegally or legally, are more likely to have higher incomes, pay more taxes, and be better citizens than those already here
- That, in a capitalist society, the free flow of labor does not take jobs from one and give to another

Therefore, with no violation of a federal statute higher than a Class 2 felony, a path to citizenship should be considered for all immigrants here illegally. By doing so, as well as securing the border and gutting the limits on immigration, we would do much better. By making it easier to get into this country, reducing the citizenship process, and by thorough tests and background checks, we can reduce illegal immigration.
