President Trump gets a 413-125 Electoral College landslide against a weak generic Democrat splitting the rest of the anti-Trump vote with several different protest candidates (of varying ideological stripes and consistency) by reeving a narrow plurality of the vote in a lot of states that would have otherwise voted for the Democrat.

According to one Democratic strategist, if a candidate adopts a socially liberal plus fiscally conservative policy platform, then he or she can win 400 EVs. So far, Trump has adopted neither of these.

Is this a real post?

This has a decent chance of happening if Dems are stupid enough to nominate Oprah or Spike Lee. Not impossible if they nominate Warren. But it's not happening otherwise.

A flaming pile of dog crap (D) would certainly crack 150 EVs, and would have a good chance at surpassing 200.

Is this "one Democratic strategist" Mark Penn by any chance?

Might as well give him Vermont here, if the Democratic nominee has no connection to the state or New England in general.

No, he won't.  He may have a realistic chance at winning reelection, given how nearly half the American people have tuned out negative media coverage of him as being 'fake news'.  But 400 electoral votes is impossible unless Trump turns into Nicolas Maduro.

Bannon must have been confused, the Democrat will get 400 EV in 2020.

Democrat: 413 EV
'So called President' Trump/Mike 'wants to hang all the gays' Pence-Republican: 125 EV

I don't get why you guys are flipping New Jersey before Connecticut. Trump lost NJ by a larger margin than CT.

Because people think that Connecticut is entirely Fairfield County which is a bad fit for Trump.

Will it be the biggest electoral landslide since Ronald Reagan?

This isn't happening either. No one is reaching 400 Electoral Votes in 2020 unless their opponent is  caught raping children or something that awful.

Unless there's a really strong third-party challenge in the form of uncompromising Democratic dissidents (kind of a 1912 reverse), this ain't happening, period.

A "No Preference" would've crack 200 electoral votes if nominated by the Democratic Party.

The states colored in red would vote for any Democratic nominee, even in a GOP landslide. That's 196 EV. If you add NH, CO and NM, you're at 214, which is probably the absolute D floor.

I wouldn't include Virginia.

The margins in VA are somewhat deceiving. While any Republican will get at least 43% of the vote in a decent year, it's exceedingly hard to make up the last 4-5% that they need from NOVA to win statewide, as the Appalachian parts are getting redder and redder, but they're bleeding population while all the major areas are swing or solid D.

They say that but then a Republican gets close anyway.

Romney got 47.3%.

Republicans could have won in 2013 and 2014 if they put their full force behind it - they also bought into the "Virginia is gone for Republicans forever" hype only to be surprised on election night.

Virginia isn't near California, New Jersey, or New York's level.

All Trump had to do was win 75% of the former Romney voters in NOVA to win the state.

The three states in which Donald Trump is most well known are, due to the media of New York City:

Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York, in alphabetical order.

Connecticut has some St. Louis-like dumps in Hartford and New Haven, just as New Jersey has Newark, Paterson, and Trenton. Camden makes Detroit look good by contrast.

You know if I said ANY of this I would have been called a racist, that I am using dog whistles, and I'd have a Lee Atwater quote thrown at me lol.

Crazy world eh?

Any "leftist" who votes for John Kasich, is, quite frankly, a moron.
