Trump: Wow, this was quite the shift for me. I disagreed with him on illegal immigration policy (but liked the idea of securing the border) but was in favor of him pursuing more fair trade deals and renegotiating NAFTA. I liked his non-interventionism and hoped that he would do a lot to shape the country. All of that has been either not done or incredibly botched. In addition, I believe that he might have colluded more than ever before (of course, Mueller’s investigation will be what confirms or denies suspicions). I went from thinking of him as the center-right, pro-fair trade, anti-interventionism Republican that we need, but he has proven me wrong.
Trudeau: Never really liked him, and I still don’t.
Modi: I don’t follow much Indian politics, but he seems to be a strong leader.
May: She still seems fine to me. I hope that she and her cabinet come up with the best solution for leaving the EU.
Merkel: When my father first told me about her (back before I cared about politics), I thought of her as being a truly smart leader and one of the world’s finest leaders. My opinion of her, however, has significantly dropped, mainly due to her handling of the refugee crisis.
