Title text: A schism between the pro-panhandle and anti-panhandle factions eventually led to war, but both sides spent too much time working on their flag designs to actually do much fighting.

Once again, I have to wonder if Randall Munroe posts here. If so, I'd like to suggest moving the eastern part of the Oregon/Washington border north to the Columbia River and making the straightening up of the southern Michigan border to be an official change rather than something caused by accident in drawing the map.  For extra credit, emphasize the pie slice shape of SC by making the NC/SC border be an arc running from the current GA/NC/SC tripoint to the NC/SC/Atlantic Ocean tripoint, adjusting the curve so that there's no need for new welcome stations on I-77.

That enlarged Delaware would most likely be a Republican state,   although I love what they did to Florida.

I'm surprised they're totally fine with northern Idaho.

When Missouri became a state its western border was a straight line. If we restored that line and extended it northward, the Dakotas and Nebraska would be less cheated by the gradual western drift of the Missouri river. Omaha and Council Bluffs, Fargo and Moorhead could merge. Also straighten the Nebraska South Dakota line. The Mississippi could also be made the state border for its entire length.

That enlarged Delaware would most likely be a Republican state,

surprisingly, no, as New Castle County still nullifies East Chesapeake Republicans.

Hillary Clinton won the area by only 2027 votes.

^revised version reflecting said concerns, as that site hasn't actually updated vote totals for mail ins.

I think that would be a 271 Clinton to 267 Trump map, which gets thrown into the house.

These line changes result in Clinton winning the Electoral college. MI, FL flip to D.

It depends on if New DE includes Hartford. If it does, Trump wins. If it doesn't Clinton narrowly wins.

I'd rather just make Oklahoma's panhandle part of Texas' panhandle.

Texas borders should be restored to the Arkansas and Rio Grande

Not a big fan but I like the new Oklahoma.

I think the states are fine as they are, but I would clean up WV and Maryland. And either make Northern Michigan its own state or give to Wisconsin.
