Imagine the following scenario:

- August 1974: President Gerald Ford picks George HW Bush appoints as his vice president under 25th amendment (he was among the finalists in real life)

- Summer 1975: President Ford is shot in California (he was almost hit twice in CA), HW becomes prez.

What happens in 1976? Does Reagan still challenge the incumbent? What happens in the GE?
