Putting aside my obvious conflict of interest here, but posting 10 times a day doesn't really mean anything for some people. I recall at least one user but possibly more who would often just fire off like a dozen posts within an hour or two and leave for the rest of the day.

I think the more obsessive post count that represents a narrow range of interests would be like 20 - 25 posts a day. EHarding comes to mind. ahugecat as well. Both were/are prolific 40+ PPD users.

Well, I don't have a problem with people posting here a lot as long as it's not trolling.
Then for people having a favorite state rep in another state, I don't know why that would be the case but there's nothing wrong with it.

I suppose you have a point. I guess I'm referring to a specific kind of 10+ posts a day people.

no, why would anybody want that?  And if they did, wouldn't they want some specific bit of information and Google/wiki/NBA.com would probably be much faster.

I suppose if it's an "interesting" stat that we don't already know it might be ok....but I don't think that's possible with the NBA.  (because of the lack of an "interesting" part not the "don't already know" part)

...and don't get me wrong, there is nothing inherently wrong with knowing a bunch of useless sports stats, I know some.  The issue is when it's all the person is.  Like if you have a room dedicated to a specific thing, that's weird to me.  "Steelers Dungeons" or "D&D Caves" or everything you own has an L stitched into it or your super proud of all the pig figurines you have.....or you own shoes by Ford Motor Company (I knew that guy once).  Yes, it's great that you like NASCAR, but perhaps you could get drunk and fish too?

Perhaps it is impressive if you can name all 100 sitting Senators, but if that's all you got?  boring

Same.  Model train guys, semi-pro magicians, those dudes that collect sport shoes, ladies with 400 purses and 700 shoes, that guy with that 65 Mustang.  If that's all they are, they're boring.  If they also enjoy watching ice hockey, taking the dog to the dog park, have a good home life and dress up as a Stormtrooper on the weekend then they ain't boring.

...but if your living room is full of pictures of your panhead Harley and all conversations with you lead back to your new tank and how all the good new "old stock" is running out and so you're also thinking about getting new/old mirrors before they're all gone and you know they just don't make 'em like they use'ta...

I think it's fine to have favorite state legislators from states other than where one lives (at least for posters on Atlas). Wink
