I support this bill. The patent system is one that allows for monopolizing pharmaceutical companies to charge huge sums on drugs. Reforming patent laws would help reverse the upward redistribution of income from the population at large to very rich individuals and corporations. This upward redistribution has caused massive income inequality in Atlasia. Also, patent laws as they stand now are an inefficient system that is a relic of the past. Instead of promoting innovation as they were intended to do, they have stifled it. They must be reformed. Additionally, the overbroadness of patents has allowed for DNA segments and life forms to be patented. Patenting such "innovations" is clearly absurd.
