I type out everything except for the rare occasions I change font size because I can never remember the code.

If I have a mouse I lean heavily towards buttons. If I only have a touch screen I will generally write the codes. I've known since the introduction of touchscreens that the properties of my finger make some operations like cutting and pasting and field placement for buttons prone to lots of errors, so it becomes faster to type.

Mix and lean toward buttons. I don't think there's any reason why I do one or the other... I just kinda do whatever I feel like at the time!

Lean towards writing them out, although sometimes I will use the buttons.

There are some things I always use buttons for, like font size. If I do that, I tend to just use buttons for everything. Otherwise, sometimes I'll just type out italics/bold/etc. I also always type out url bbcode.

Sometimes I use the buttons, but since we hardcore programmers (you know, the one who stick to vim and emacs) generally abhor avoiding the keyboard...

You know, vim and emacs users should put aside their differences and destroy the monstrosity known as the mouse.

Egads, are they still fighting? The PC didn't even exist when I first encountered their online wars. It was like the UNIX vs VMS fight which was going on at the same time, but that one died long ago.
