Why did Obama do better in SC Ohio around Ross, Scioto, Pike, Lawrence, etc in 2012 than he did in 2008? I know some of those counties were swingy downballot and went for Wulsin in the 2006 and 2008 House race. I'm just struggling to figure out why amidst the backdrop of the Tea Party in 2010, WV/KY/PA Appalachian counties swinging away, these few counties Obama did better in and almost won.
