Hillary Clinton is a late entry into the 2004 Primary field and secures the nomination by winning in every primary except for New Hampshire, which is won by John Kerry.

President Bush and Vice-President Cheney win the GOP nomination without opposition.

You select Clinton's running mate.

All conditions from RL 2004 remain the same.

Who wins and why (maps included)

What stance does Hillary take on the Iraq War?

Whatever stance she actually had in 2004.

Besides, the actual nominee in 2004, Kerry also voted for the Iraq War, as did everyone else in the field (except for Dean and Kucinich).

I'm unsure what stance she took in 2004 in real life.

I know that Kerry and all the other candidates also voted for it, but if Kerry ran on a pro-Iraq War platform in 2004, the election would have been very different.

Hillary didn't advocate removing troops from Iraq until running for President in 2008. I'm not sure why she'd advocate a timetable for removal in late 2003-2004.

As for Kerry, he was more opposed to the prosecution of the war than the war itself...he really couldn't say he opposed the war after voting for it, could he?

Clinton/Locke
Bush/Cheney

Hillary does well enough with the Latino vote to retain new mexico and flip nevada and colorado.
