Looks like I’m taking a part-time unpaid crime analysis internship to go with full time work and school.

It's a nice facility; I was there in June. Did you come up just for the races?

I came here for work last week and stayed the weekend to see friends. I'm here about once a month. I've been to the races at Saratoga, Belmont, Woodbine, and Arlington this year. Plan on attending the fall meet at Keeneland in October, and perhaps Santa Anita and/or Del Mar later in the year, too.

Let's see. What's happened in the last 3 years:

* I graduated. Had a class with R2D2 on the way. Guy's cool.

* Met up with a lot of people from Atlas. Snowstalker (ironically), Mechaman, MattVT. Hopefully Jimmie comes up too.

* That girl I was talking about didn't work out. She got too drunk and forgot to meet up with me. She apologized, I figured that it wouldn't work out, and I detached. We're still friends though. Aside from a brief crush my love life has been dormant.

* I have two interviews next week. One will be a launchpad.

* Social life is cool. Getting out has probably been very healthy.

* I don't talk to my mom's side of the family. I've become the black sheep, but your coat tends to get dirty when you're rolling around in scum. One sect lied to my face. The rest are at least honest enough to admit they're enabling my mother.

Overall, it's been a trial, but I'm a hell of a lot stronger.

Went to the doctor. Taking Prozac for a test drive starting Saturday. I'll be seeing a shrink next month, and back to the doctor on October 1, with hormones likely later in the month.

Finally stopped procrastinating and did all the Calc homework I had this summer. Fortunately, it was all dull prerequisite stuff, so it only took me all of two days. Spent today meeting up with a friend that I had previously... burned a bridge with, to say the least. Tomorrow I'm back to the grind and not only do I have Lang nonsense to do but I'm also working on starting a mental health club at my school and I've got a lot of stuff to do for that. That's barely scratching the surface.

I feel productive in the sense that I've gotten things done in the past few days, but I still can't shake the feeling that I've spent the last two and a half months doing absolutely nothing productive. If you know me well at all, I hate that feeling, but procrastination is a bitch and so is apathy. Hopefully in the next few months I hit the ground running and get some solid work done.
