Macron to form new European Parliament political group

I'd be strongly in favor of Pan-European electoral lists. Otherwise it's just "well, we have European elections, but it's pretty much all about local political issues anyway."

What would a pan-European electoral list be (I'm not too familiar with the EU electoral process)?

Presumably something wherein the various coalitions agree on a list, like the Knesset in Israel, that is then voted on at large, with each member nominated assigned a spot in the list.

Still thinks he will end up in ALDE, or this new grouping will be a sort of ALDE+. Perhaps Vestager as Commission President candidate? Macron has praised her work and some French newspapers have written quite a bit about her

John Alderdice, Philipp Rösler, or Sigmar Gabriel would also make sense.

Maybe the “European Joining Modernity and Freedom Movement” (Emmanuel Jean-Michel Frédéric Macron)?
