Will someone challenge him? Will he or she win states in a primary? Who would challenge him?

Amash, Cuban, Kasich, McMullin, Sasse, and maybe Paul are all possibilities, IMHO.  All of them at least have the potential to get Buchanan '92-esque numbers (assuming it's just 1-on-1 with one challenger against Trump....if there's more than one challenger, then they split the anti-Trump vote), but it seems very unlikely that any of them would win anything more than possibly Utah, DC, or one of the territories, like Puerto Rico.

Neither Sasse or Paul will run in 2020. Sasse is running for reelection, and Paul won't blow his good will with Trump by running a hopeless campaign against him.

Kasich sounds like he's running. Amash too. I could definitely get behind Cuban, but he won't run.

Not sure, but whoever does will receive quite a massive stomping.

Kasich is the most likely but I doubt he will do it. He's waiting until the GOP completely implodes because of Trumpism to swoop in and make the party his own.

Cuban, Kasich, and Sasse. Cuban would appeal to the disaffected Trumpers who have more of a Libertarian bend. Kasich appeals to the old school moderate Republicans. Sasse appeals to the tea partiers who aren't quite alt-right but voted for Trump out of necessity.

Kasich is the leading challenger, and the one others will step aside for.

Sasse is second, and will challenge Trump if Kasich doesn't.

Jeb! might.  Who knows how that would turn out if he were the only challenger.
