If you are the type to get drunk on vacation, why would you go anywhere near the Arabian peninsula?  Let him rot.

Ah, Dubai. Enjoy 21st century amenities with a 14th century legal system. Sounds like a wonderful vacation.

no, but I am studying, which I don't like to do.

<stupid mandatory certifications that aren't relevant to ones job.  $400, weeks of studying and stress (have to have the cert to keep job) for something (Security+) that is barely related to my gig>

Having been there myself, it's a lot safer and more pleasant than many cities. And the US can hardly claim it's got a great legal system.

eh, if sitting on a beach and paying 8 euros for a can of Heineken is your kind of thing. Otherwise it's an ugly, soulless, cultureless, cesspit inhabited by boorish expats and migrant slave labourers.

Reminds me of the 30 shekel beers in Tel Aviv... the lap dances are cheaper than the drinks at strip clubs, LOL!

As problematic as the US legal system can be (we're not Norway), we don't prosecute rape victims, nor does US law apply the death penalty for homosexuality.
