2016 Presidential election results by county, showing margin of victory. Ranges are <10 percentage pts, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Data from Dave's Election Atlas (this site), margins are rounded up to nearest tenth (for ex, 19.99 becomes 20). No data for Alaska's census divisions and boroughs.

You can find the results by legislative district in Alaska here:

https://www.ourcampaigns.com/RaceDetail.html?RaceID=782458

From what I understand on Atlas, Alaska doesn't break down its results by borough/census divisions/county equivalents.

This map shows you why we have an electoral college.

This map shows you why we have an electoral college.
IE: the people of Wyoming have bigger bolder say in who’s elected
then anyone living in Los Angeles or New York (insert sarcasm) yeah seems totally fair and representative of every voter.

Hillary could have quite easily won the Electoral College while winning fewer counties than this.

Why? lol. I made that choice because I wanted this map to be illustrative of reality, and in reality 19.99 percentage victory is essentially a 20-pt victory, and giving it the 10pt color would be misleading. Also it's consistent on the map, so 20pt counties aren't over-represented, and also there's precedent because the NYT rounds to nearest tenth on their interactive results maps.

Find it odd that literally the only elected office in America is the President? Every single state, federal or local-level elected official is elected by popular vote; only the President of the US isn't. Ridiculous imo; only position that could be won by the minority candidate just happens to be the most powerful position in America too.
