I don't think it would be legitimate to depict all Austrians as anti-semitic genocidaires.

I don't really buy that Kurz was ever pro-migration. I don't see it. The problem with "listening" and emoting is that Austrians are still going to be really p***ed by the presence of foreigners even if you cut immigration to zero, and it just feeds resentment to pander.

How dare Austria lecture other countries about how to run asylum, just because Austria historically hates seeing ethnic minorities on its soil.

Pretty clearly, Austrians on net approve of what is happening. It's not as controversial as it seemed. European solidarity is seen as optional. Eventually, though, this a la carte approach to the EU ends with a referendum.

Another poll that suggests 1/3rd of people want to change the current situation where the foreign secretary pays fealty to Putin on her wedding day, while 57% are fine with this.

Hang out n, it doesn't say they can't speak German, just that it isn't their mother tongue

Which is perfectly normal for second generation immigrants and not a sign that they aren't integrating

Yeah. This is either a failure of English translation, or a deliberate misprision.
