I believe that all religion is hoax, and that the only reason any of it exists is because powerful people centuries ago wanted to have a method to cement their authority over society.

I strongly support Israel and believe Palestine is run by a group of terrorizing manipulators.
That is not an opinion.
That is fake news propaganda.
Evil Jews are drinking the blood of Palestinian fetuses!!!!!!!1!!1!1
Stop with the sarcasm please; we all know that is not true either.

Personally, I believe that the BDS movement is the top source when it comes to factual analysis of the situation.

This is what I would regard as an unpopular opinion within my party (but, naturally, not one I see as necessarily 'bad'):

I don't believe in anthropogenic climate change.  While I do acknowledge that we have had an impact on the climate at least since the Neolithic era, and especially with the advent of the industrial revolution, it pales by comparison to other natural cyclical factors including the sun that have powered climate change since our planet was born.  I just cannot see how a trace gas that composes only 0.04% of the atmosphere could wreak so much havoc.

Israel is the most liberal nation in the Middle East, so I think the best choice in this conflict is obviously the one that tolerates homosexuality, rather than the one that throws gays off buildings.

As Bill Maher asked, is there a gay bar in Gaza?

This. Israel is certainly not receiving the support it used to from the party

Both sides of the Israel/Palestine "debate" are terrible, and hearing arguments from one side immediately makes me closer to the other.

I hope this isn’t an unpopular opinion, since this is literally how I feel. Every time I think about Likud’s hackish awfulness my BDS-supporting Libyan friend posts more crap on her Facebook and I snap right back.

I'm pro-Zionist, I like Israel (but I support a two-state solution).

I also believe Hayes won the 1876 presidential election fair and square.

Abolish Congress and the President and replace them with a Parliament/Prime Minister system with fairly-drawn districts.

I feel like the only problem, especially in America, would be the formation of coalitions. Just imagine it...

But it would allow for more parties, which would be great.

Agreed. I'd support it

I'm a liberal who despises Hollywood, and yes, I despised them before I found out that Kevin Spacey is a pedophilic rapist.

Hollywood's been terrible for at least about 10 years now, regarless of their politics or the shady stuff that goes on there. I haven't been to the movie theater in almost 2 years because there's nothing worthwhile to watch and I could see myself never going again.

Oh, and except for South Park I haven't watched TV in 4 years

Here's some more:

- Late Night comics aren't even remotely funny

- I support Theresa May over Jeremy Corbyn

- Medicare for All is a terrible idea, just model Germany's system and we'll be fine.

- I don't like how cheating has been normalized nowadays. When I'm dating someone, I'm loyal to her and I (expect) she's loyal to me.

- Smoking weed is unhealthy

- We need to remove the Clintonite and Bernout cults of the Democratic Party and start fresh. Both are extremely toxic in their own ways. Both are self-absorbed, snotty groups who just make it easier for the Republicans to govern autocratically.

I agree with all of these points, especially the ones on Medicare and Cheating

-Who wins most individual elections doesn't actually change the course of history that much--elections are more often symptoms of societal issues than causes.

This is very true

- I'm mostly against direct democracy and referendums. They are frequently used by populists and the loudest demagogue often wins. And I'm especially against referendums on certain "rights". Like on gay marriage. Basic rights shouldn't be decided by a majority-minority vote.  I think referendums should only be used for controversial construction projects like railways, bridges or solar parks.
I agree with this. Representative democracy is the only acceptable form of government. However, I tend to disagree on the infrastructure referendum issue, because anti-development NIMBYs often turn out and win. Though LA did pass high speed rail and metro rail expansion this way, so I suppose that isn't always the case.

Central America?
In fact, my unpopular opinion is that Reagan is a terribly overrated and a rather unintelligent person who is only revered by the modern Republican party because Dubya was horrible, HW was boring, Ford was pathetic, Nixon was evil, and Eisenhower was too far back.

Also, I support a one state solution in Israel/Palestine. Give Palestinians equal rights and try to replace religious based identity with one identity based on equal membership of the state of Israeopalestine. It's rediculous and primitive to have such tribalism. Separate but equal is never acceptable.

I agree with this.

Benjamin Netanyahu and his reactionary cohorts are why this has not happened yet.

I agree gay marriage, etc. shouldn't be left up to a referendum, but they should be used far more often for other major decisions.
