This resolution is based on a RL resolution being proposed by senators of both parties to combat incidents of sexual harassment in society and in workplaces, namely the Congress where it was recently reported that offenders receive special treatment and protection when they touch someone without their consent, and their identities are concealed.

This resolution requires sexual harassment training for all members and employees of the Senate, and authorizes periodic surveys so that victims of sexual harassment might feel comfortable reporting these incidents with the option of anonymity.

It is my hope that both houses of Congress adopt such a rule, and as such I urge my colleagues to vote for this needed reform to our chamber's rules.

I like this idea, especially since it focuses on the Senate. Although part of me is wondering if we are going to have to take this training (run by the GM or something)?

I support this resolution. Sexual harassment is a pervasive problem in our society, and it must be combated. I believe that the sexual harassment training outlined in this bill would be an effective measure in reducing the prevalence of sexual harassment by acting as a deterrent against it.

With five votes in favor and one not voting, this resolution has passed the Atlasian Senate. Since this pertains to how the Senate functions, I believe that means it's now "law."
