To be fair, if Theresa May had actually won a landslide, I'd argue that she would be more powerful than Merkel since her powers would be mostly unchecked, unlike Merkel who will be checked by whoever her coalition partners are. But with a hung parliament in the UK and May in an unstable position, yeah, Merkel is definitely more powerful.
