    The Bible contains a serious lack of humor?

    Did they miss Tamar dressing like a hooker to screw and be impregnated by her father-in-law Judah, and when Judah tries to have her executed for being a hooker, reveals Judah's seal ring, showing his hypocrisy?

    Did they miss Absalom getting caught on his long, luxurious hair and dangling absurdly from a tree-branch by his hair like a pinata before Joab stuck a spear in him?

    Did they miss fat old King Eglon getting skewered by Ehud so that his s**t fell out and the guards outside didn't want to disturb him because they assumed he was taking a dump?

    Did they miss Miriam complaining about Moses' second black wife so God punished her by giving her snow-white leprosy?

    The Bible is a very, very funny book. Intentionally funny, even.

    EDIT: Even if the original post was satire, it has this ridiculous image of the Bible as an unfunny book. How can any book containing stuff like God telling Ezekiel to eat food cooked over burning human dung, and Ezekiel protesting and bargaining God down to eating food cooked over cow dung, not be hilarious?
