Am I the only one who is marveling at 18-25 year olds?

If I'm reading it correctly, they make up only 4.28% of expected voters but they prefer Gillespie
by 65-23.
Gen Z is conservative, despite the democrats denial.

The super liberal NYT went to talk to NFL fans about the national anthem controversy and here is what the Gen Z they interviewed said:

Called Trump arrogant but agreed with him, confirming my opinion that people hate Trump's antics but agree with him in a lot of stuff, meanwhile, called the players disrespectful. Gen Z is clearly sick of liberal overreach.

I have already seen Gen Z polls before about it. And my anecdotal experience from hearing kiddies in CoD/League of Legends confirms it as well. I hear nothing but praise for Trump.

That's where I always* thought this was going!

*OK, there was a 2 week period in Sept when I was entertaining an Obama 2008 margin for Northam, but that opportunity has passed.

Had the financial crisis not hit during September 2015, that race would've been far closer, similar to what the OP poll has for the current race.

2 different factors would've played a role:

1) Mccain was a stronger candidate (than Romney) as he had genuine appeal to PUMAs/moderates.

2) Obama & Hillary basically tied the '08 primary, they weren't that dissimilar from each other in raw electability.

1) True, but at the same time, canceling that out was McCain's status as a Senator and his coming off as completely out of his depth on economic and financial issues.

That's not Mccain's fault. It was the initial GOP consensus position to oppose the bailout, and then the position was switched to supporting the bailout after the fact.

That's like 50 people. They all could have been taken from who knows where. That fact that they are mostly not white and yet want to repatriate all the brown people is interesting, tho.

Oh lord, if Democrats can win this race, I think a 2018 wave becomes unlikely.

Gen Z is what I'd call more libertarian. Live and let live, but more nationalist and anti-SJW.

I mean supporting things like gay marriage, drug legalization, etc.

Millenials were supposed to be a socon generation when W was popular...but I can totally buy that the #1 issue for Z Republicans isn't opposing abortion or gay marriage (but these things will still be important) but opposing immigration and anti-police brutality  movements.

Compared to the other GOP polls, at least they knew how to hedge.
