Brief observation on tonight and then I'm resuming my break

[Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.]

I'm glad to see such a strong anti-Trump headwind across all levels of government (there was a local LEFTSLIDE on my Greenfield Town Council, although my own precinct's conservative hack incumbent defeated his write-in challenger. Not ideal!). It does perturb me, though, that it's being built up from the strengths of the Obama-Hillary playbook rather than breaking new ground or consisting in a ressourcement of the Democratic Party's class-based roots.

Obviously neither what I'm saying nor my use of a mid-century Catholic theological buzzword to say it will surprise anybody here, so the real reason for this post is to leave some record on the forum that I'm doing okay, I do still follow and care about politics, and I wish, as ever, peace to forumites of goodwill.
