I'm wondering. Since we already seem to have classified info right now, what exactly is this act changing?

I support and therefore assumed the sponsorship of this bill because it adds another highly exciting element to Atlasian domestic and foreign policy. Indeed, the latest crisis regarding Atlasia, North Korea and China also involved documents classified as top secret, which made the entire situation more complex but also more interesting to deal with.

As for Senator Siren's question, it is my understanding that this act merely codifies what has been practiced by the last couple of administrations and the GM but if I'm wrong I will be happy to be corrected.

So the GM isn't limited to share classified information only with the positions named?  I think that members of Congress would have an interest as well, so I'm offering an amendment to clarify.

This bill is something that I strongly support. It would add another dimension to government that we need to keep dialogue fresh. I also want to voice my support for Senator Scott's amendment. It's only fair that we members of Congress, who have voted on critical pieces of foreign policy like the North Korea resolutions, stay in touch with all of the latest information coming in.

I consider the amendment friendly. The GM isn't forced to confer classified material to each group of officeholders mentioned in the act as the text says "may" instead of "must" so I believe this is sensible. There are circumstances where it really helps if members of Congress know what's going on behind the scenes.
