I've had quite a few; in fact, I had 2 last night. One was about the Conservatives retaking power in Canada in 2019. They had about 100 or so seats before the polls in the west of Canada closed, so CBC was willing to predict that they were going to win a minority government. Finally tally had the CPC in the 160s, Liberals at 88, and the NDP with most of the rest. Another one was with John King at this "magic board" (every US election dream has him as a participant) circling the counties that contain Dallas and Fort Worth, with the suburban counties as well, talking about how these counties were "key" if Elizabeth Warran and Kamala Harris were to win Texas.

So what about you guys? I'm I just weird, or do people actually have this occur sometimes?

A few nights ago I had a dream it was 2018 and the Democrats had reached a majority of 274 seats in the House and some races remained uncalled. I remember seeing Jim Hood on TV, celebrating his victory in the Senate.

That's the map I predicted for the 2012 election.

We have a thread filled with various poster's election dreams, but it was sort of ruined by JerryArkansas talking about his erotic Nikki Haley massage thing.

I recently had a dream where Al Franken was the 2020 Dem nominee and he won 494 electoral votes vs 44 for Trump:

When I was 17, I had a dream John Kerry was going to win with 332 electoral votes. I could never get the map to work right. Apparently, my dream was just eight years early.

Couple of nights ago I had a dream about a senate race from Ohio (or somewhere in the Midwest) against an incumbent GOP senator that was thrown into scandal because the Democratic candidate and previous favourite had bleached his hair blond.

Well, I assume his "heh" has to do with the fact that Franken definitely won't get 494 now due to recent events.

Back when I was a Republican (basically this time two years ago) I had a dream Rubio beat Clinton. But the thing is, everything was so weird. The colors were orange and a shade of purple rather than red and blue, and Clinton won North Dakota and Montana. I only remember seeing the top part of an electoral map but I do know Rubio won.

I had a dream Hillary would lose like a week before the 2016 election. It freaked me out and legit terrified me into thinking she would lose. A few days before I got confident again.

A few weeks after the 2016 election, I had a dream where  Donald Trump went on to become the most popular president ever. Jealous of Trump’s popularity, Vice President Ted Cruz conspired with the 99 other senators to kill President Trump. One evening, the entire senate was invited to a conference in the Oval Office. When the doors were shut, everyone pulled out a knife from under their cloak and proceeded to stab the president in turns, Julius Ceaser style.

Too dark?

I had a nap-dream about 2018, and the Democrats only picked up like 8 or 9 house seats, lost about 5 seats (3 in Minnesota is what I remember), and lost too many senate seats: Montana, ND, Indiana, Ohio, WV, Florida, and Maine for some reason. I don't know how McCaskill survived.

It was eerily similar to 2016 in the way that going into Election Day predictions were really good for Democrats, but fell apart quickly on Election Day.

Obviously I woke up in a cold sweat.

That leaves only the twin cities districts in Dem hands.

So your map of the senate looks like this. Oddly enough, this is the same balance of power as my predictions for a bad midterm for Dems but for a different reason.

More like this, so much much worse.
