Ideology: Populist libertarian Democrat, same ideology as me
Previous offices held: Member of Washington House of Representatives (2011–2013), U.S. Representative from Washington's 5th District (2013–2017)
Bio: Born March 15, 1979 in Spokane, WA. Graduated from Eastern Washington University and became a radio host. Ran for Washington House of Representatives from the 3rd district in Spokane in 2010, and won. In 2012, he announced his bid for U.S. Congress and defied all expectations by beating incumbent Cathy McMorris Rodgers by 400 votes. He was seen as one of the most vulnerable Democratic incumbents in 2014, but despite a Republican wave he remained popular with his constituents and won with 55% against a weak Republican candidate. Once Senator Patty Murray announced her retirement in 2016, Joey Costa declared he would run for the open seat.
