Only on Atlas can a thread about how Alabama is going to elect a pedophile to the United States Senate turn into a discussion about what quality of poster I am. You guys are something else.

Wow. Finally a disavowal that might actually hurt Moore.

Doubt Hannity matters. You are totally right about Alabama. He will win there & comfortably (Even if you are wrong about WV).

I'm not IceSpear's biggest defender here, but he's largely right. Moore's probably going to win, and murder or any of the seven deadly sins would only help him.

He's entitled to an opinion, but his constant repetition of it is bordering on spamming and trolling.

If pointing out reality is trolling, then so be it.

Also, others have constantly repeated that they think Jones will win. So this "argument" meant to stifle dissent doesn't hold water. You guys should be mad at Alabama voters, not me.

Girl, bye.

I still think he'll win. Hannity disavowing could sting though. He's pretty well liked in Alabama.

Hannity disavowing won't even slightly hurt Moore.

I bet the Democrats regret not going with a candidate who was pro-life.  I bet there are enough voters like me in Alabama who are deeply disturbed by Moore's actions but would never vote for (what we view as) a baby killer.  If the Democrat were pro-life, I would have this at Likely D right now, but this seems to be a tossup.

That's what bothers me about "pro-lifers".  People are upset about "baby killers" but don't have a problem when the babies become teenagers and get molested??!!

We do have a problem with it, but murder is obviously a worse crime than any sexual crime could ever be.

What does the term zygote mean to you?

One has little doubt you would have opposed reinstating the adoption cost tax credit because it was going to be paid for by raising the corporate income tax level from 20% to 20.04%

Actually, I strongly supported reinstating the adoption tax credit.

Bravo. I retract my criticism.

Still, could you address the issue of equating termination of pregnancy of a zygote, a clump of undistinguished cells smaller than a pinky fingernail, constitutes murder? Do you really have no distinction between a fertilized egg two hours after contraception versus a viable pregnancy two hours before birth?

As the great lord Richard Ojeda once said, "I'm pro-life when the rest of these guys are just pro-birth". Aside from supporting abortion being illegal everything else Republicans do make abortion more necessary and common. Things such as preventing access to contraceptives raise abortion rates massively. Proper sex education would lower abortion rates as well. Then there's the fact that our foster home system is awful.

Wasn't Macron like 15 when he met his wife, who is 15 years older than him and in a position of authority over him?

You can always go to a France and try a citizen's arrest on Macron.

What are the odds that the U.S. Senate will be voting on an abortion ban or any major nationwide restrictions at all between now and 2020? And even if they do, what are the odds that 1 vote will make a difference?

Pretty much nil. Not nearly enough to justify putting a literal child molester in the Senate, even to someone who believes abortion is murder.

538's discussion of various possible outcomes of this race

(Short take: they're all bad for the GOP, but some of them are worse than others.)

I definitely think they should just chalk it up as a loss and reclaim it in 2020. Moore winning will probably hurt them even more in the midterms. Nationally 2/3s want him to drop out lol.

They didn’t enter into a relationship until he was in his 20s, though.
