Yeah, I now think this will be a LA-GOV 2015 redux. People (especially Republicans, but some "concerned" Democrats as well) will ignore the polls because "the state is just too red", but in the end the Democrat wins by a surprisingly wide margin. Jones +8-12 would be my guess for now, his support among White women is going to collapse bigly.

I said this before, Jones coming out as pro-choice is his biggest mistake and it will probably cost him the election. Sadly abortion is probably a bigger hangup with AL voters than Moore's indiscretions.

If it hasn't torpedoed him yet, it's not going to. Now that Jones has finally started going negative on Moore and really driving home his sexual predation, Jones' own baggage is going to be put on the backburner - not least because Moore's issues were a lot more than "indiscretions".

The son of Republican U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore has been arrested in Alabama on a misdemeanor charge linked to allegations of illegal hunting. Etowah County Sheriff's spokeswoman Natalie Barton tells news outlets 27-year-old Caleb Moore surrendered Monday on a charge of third-degree criminal trespass. He was accused of hunting without permission and hunting over bait last year.

Caleb Moore was arrested on drug charges in 2015, but those were dropped after he entered a pre-trial diversion program. Monday's arrest marks the ninth time the 27-year-old has been in jail, AL.com reported.

You don't need to be a clairvoyant to understand that if the electorate is only 23% black then Jones has no chance in hell.

That alone is reason for me to doubt the poll. That seems like a massive undersampling of the black vote.
